GbaramatuVoice CEO Visits Nigerian Army PR School, Explores Groundbreaking Media-Security Partnership in Abuja

In a bold move to strengthen collaboration between the media and Nigeria’s security institutions, Mr. Jacob Abai, CEO of GbaramatuVoice, paid a strategic visit to the headquarters of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) in Abuja on Tuesday.

The visit, hosted at the Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri, underscores growing efforts to bridge gaps between the military and independent media platforms through dialogue, training, and shared expertise.

Strengthening Ties Between Media and Military

During the high-profile meeting, Lt. Col. Adamu Yaya Ngulde, Commandant of NASPRI, warmly received Mr. Abai alongside Major Ojo Ifedayo Adenegan, Deputy Commandant. The visit featured a guided tour of NASPRI’s state-of-the-art training facilities, including modern digital classrooms, broadcast suites, and the institution's advanced media operations center.

Mr. Abai had the opportunity to witness firsthand how the Nigerian Army is investing in strategic communication, crisis response training, and public relations aligned with global best practices.

Media-Security Partnership on the Horizon

A key highlight of the engagement was the in-depth discussions on potential collaboration between NASPRI and GbaramatuVoice, the Niger Delta’s leading media outlet. Talks focused on joint initiatives such as:

  • Media training for security personnel
  • Community-focused public engagement strategies
  • Information management best practices
  • Content development and crisis communication

Such collaborations are expected to foster better understanding between security agencies and the public, promote positive narratives, and support national unity.

A Moment of Honour for GbaramatuVoice

In recognition of GbaramatuVoice’s significant role in amplifying grassroots voices and fostering informed public discourse, Lt. Col. Ngulde presented a commemorative plaque to Mr. Abai. The gesture further solidifies the media platform’s rising influence in Nigeria’s national development space.

Countdown to GbaramatuVoice 10th Anniversary

This landmark visit comes as GbaramatuVoice gears up for its much-anticipated 10th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled for August 28, 2025, at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. The event promises to attract notable figures from government, the military, media, and civil society, all coming together to celebrate a decade of impactful storytelling and regional transformation.

GbaramatuVoice Remains Committed to Nation Building

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Abai expressed his appreciation to the NASPRI leadership for the warm reception and reaffirmed GbaramatuVoice’s dedication to using powerful narratives and strategic partnerships to foster unity, development, and positive change across Nigeria.
